Lun (Harrier) at sunset. The Lun-class ekranoplan (also called Project 903, NATO reporting name: Utka) is a ground effect vehicle (GEV) designed by Rostislav Alexeyev in 1975 and used by the Soviet and Russian navies from 1987 until sometime in the late 1990s. It flew using the lift generated by the ground effect of its large wings when within about four metres (13 ft) above the surface of the water. For this photo I thank Alexey P.

Literally left to rot and die. Along with a country abandonment order in the window, this old girl has become a place nightmares are made of. A massive hornets nest is now in the avionics bay near the nose and the right engine has more spiders and spider webs than I’ve ever seen before. If you look closely, your skin may begin to crawl...

That's no sunspot, it's the International Space Station (ISS). The ISS was approximately 291 miles (469 km) away from my position, traveling at 17,150mph (28,000kmph). The Sun transit took about half a second. When this was taken there were four NASA astronauts, one JAXA astronaut and two Roscosmos cosmonauts onboard. Shot with a NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens with a TC-14E II (1.4x) teleconverter and a black polymer solar filter.

Airport overview taken from the top floor of the airport hotel that is located at the center of the terminals. American Airlines still operated the 727-200 at the time, I'm guessing this was on their final years of operation before being withdrawn from the fleet. This wonderful location is also not accessible anymore.

A busy North Lounge forced the ground crew to park P4-MLO so close to the fence separating Chartright Air that the wing extended over the fence line. Next to P4-MLO was the Liberals charter to get Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Afghanistan refugee flight 9H-XFW.

Ladies and Gentlemen… The first Gulfstream EC-37B Compass Call II.. A seemingly mythical and mysterious aircraft at this point in time, even though it’s been in development since 2017, it arrives back into SAV after a 5hr test flight. This jet normally only appears from its shroud just long enough to taxi and takeoff, then land and taxi back to its hole yet again. Very cool to see this aircraft fly.
